Júlia Monte

I have a bachelor in Psychology (Universitat de Barcelona, 2012) and a Masters degree in Neuroscience (Universitat de Barcelona).
In 2011 I studied at the Università degli studi di Padova (Italy) under the Erasmus exchange program. During my Master degree I received a research grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education and I did a research collaboration in neuroimaging analysis at the Psychiatric and Clinical Psychobiology Department at the Faculty of Psychology in Barcelona.  I am currently researching in the field of language acquisition as part of a PhD program at the Pompeu Fabra University.
I’m interested in how human learn languages and the processes which are involved. To try to understand the main mechanisms underlying these processes I use both an electrophysiological (Event Related Potentials, ERP) and a behavioral approach.
